Steve Emory, Senior Loan Officer, NMLS #45523

Steve has 25+ years of experience with all types of purchase and refinance loans for residential properties in Oregon and Washington. Realtors recommend him often because of his straightforward style and how he makes them look good to their clients. They appreciate his quick communication with them, getting closed on time and how he explains the complex mortgage world in layman’s terms to a wide range of buyers. Engineers love working with him for a mortgage.

He knows how to help clients identify the best type of financing for their unique circumstances, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, and reverse mortgages. He is particularly well versed in jumbo loans and country properties. Being able to tell a client that they can get the loan they need, whether to buy their dream home or to help weather a financial storm, is Steve’s greatest professional reward.

He is a member of the Oregon Association of Mortgage Professionals, served as chair of the Ethics Committee (1999-2003), and has received its Distinguished Service Award (2002) and President’s Choice Award (1999). Steve participated in the Oregon Governor’s Mortgage Lending Workgroup in 2007-2008.

Steve and his wife of more than 30 years live in Vernonia with four dogs, three horses, and cats. They enjoy camping and trail riding, classic movies, and regular trips to the Oregon coast. Steve volunteers with Oregon Equestrian Trails and NW Trail Alliance as a Mountain Bike Patroller at LL Stub Stewart State Park. They are very proud of their two sons, both of whom serve in the armed forces.

Amy Gremmel, Loan Officer Assistant, NMLS #1281281

Amy Gremmel bio: I am a native Oregonian. I was born and raised in Eugene, and then I relocated to Corvallis where I attended Oregon State University. Although I grew up in Eugene, I am a fourth generation Beaver and avid fan. I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising Management and a minor in Business & Entrepreneurship.

I currently reside in SW Portland near Multnomah Village. I enjoy exploring areas of Portland whenever possible. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, and traveling as much as life allows me to both nationally and internationally.

It sounds like a cliché, but helping people get their home loan is very rewarding to me personally. Whether it’s educating a first time buyer in “Mortgage 101”, lowering someone’s payments, helping a senior stay in their home or helping a homeowner through a financial crisis to a better financial position, I feel like I’m making a difference. Emory Team’s statement of “Standing By You” means exactly that to me.
